Walking With The King

Episode 2

Walking with the King Requires Obedience

John 14:15 (NIV)

If you love me, keep my commands.

A true walk with the King requires obedience. It is not enough to simply say we follow Christ; our lives must reflect it. The Bible is filled with examples of those who walked closely with God because they obeyed Him. Noah built the ark, Abraham left his homeland, Moses led Israel out of Egypt. Their obedience led to God's blessings and favor.

Obedience does not mean we will always understand God's ways, but it does mean we trust Him. When we obey, we show our love and reverence for the King.

Reflection:

Are there areas in your life where you struggle to obey God?

How can you take a step of obedience this week?

Walking With The King

Episode 1

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Malachi 6:8 ( NIV)

Introduction

There is no greater privilege in life than walking with the King, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To walk with the King means to live in close fellowship with Him, to follow His ways, and to reflect His character in our daily lives. It is not just a one-time decision but a lifelong journey of faith, obedience, and love.

Today, I want to explore what it means to walk with the King and how we can stay close to Him in every season of life.

1. Walking with the King Requires Surrender

Luke 9:23 (NIV)

Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Walking with the King begins with surrender. Jesus calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. This means letting go of our own plans, desires, and ambitions and allowing God to lead us.

Many people want to walk with God, but they still want to go their own way. The Bible teaches that we cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24). If we truly desire to walk with the King, we must submit to His will and trust that His plans are better than ours.

Reflection:

Are you holding on to anything that is keeping you from fully surrendering to God?

What is one thing you can surrender today to walk more closely with the King?
